Snow Storm and Inclement Weather Policy

We want to let all of our valued clients know what our expectations are regarding snow storms or forecasted inclement weather situations. Our cancellation policy remains in effect during these times but we have tips to help you make your decision when these situations arise.

What to do if you are not comfortable driving in the snow

We ask that you keep an eye on the weather forecast when you have an upcoming appointment and reschedule it with at least 48 hours of notice if, in general, you are concerned about driving in the snow. We typically wait to see exactly what the weather is going to be like before we make the decision to open or close the salon. If you aren’t comfortable waiting to hear whether we will be open or not and don’t want to risk being charged a fee, we recommend that you move your appointment just so you have peace of mind. REMEMBER: PLEASE GIVE US AT LEAST 48 HOURS OF NOTICE TO AVOID ANY CANCELLATION FEES . Click here for more information about our cancellation policy.

For those of you who are okay waiting for us to make the call as we get closer to the predicted day of inclement weather, feel free to keep your appointment in our schedule. We will ABSOLUTELY close the salon during times when we are advised to stay off the roads or if there is a winter storm warning and we will not charge cancellation fees for appointments that we reschedule due to the salon closing. However, if it’s just normal New England winter snow, we typically stay open and you can expect to be able to come in for your appointment. (DISCLAIMER: Please make your decision based on what you feel is safe and cancel if you feel it’s not in your best interest to drive on the roads even if it means you will be charged a fee.)

How to avoid cancellation charges

Ultimately, to avoid ANY CHANCE of being charged fees, your best bet is to take your appointment out of our schedule when a storm is expected. If you feel confident that the decision that we make will align with yours, keeping your appointment will likely be best for you. Everyone is different and we want this to make sense for each individual person. If you have any other questions, we are more than happy to talk to you about all of this during your next visit.
